Forest Floor Terrarium Set Up

Forest Floor Terrariums use most of the same supplies and equipment already popular for planted terrarium/vivarium displays. Terrarium plants grow very well in bright, diffuse light from fluorescent or LED fixtures. Certain kinds of terrarium reptiles also require UVB lamps and heat lamps for basking. With proper plant and livestock selection you can install a mister system for high humidity, or use a screen enclosure top for drier conditions. The Forest Floor Terrarium kit is manufactured by Selva Terrarium and available in sizes to match several different commercial glass terrarium models.

Each Selva Terrarium | Forest Floor Terrarium Kit (above) includes the sturdy false bottom plate (A), planter pots (B), fitted screen (C), additional accessories and a detailed instruction sheet. The Forest Floor false bottom plate is fitted to match popular commercial terrarium (such as Exo Terra®) and aquarium (such as AqueonTM) models. Selva Terrarium also offers rooting media to fill the planter pots, natural forest leaf litter and detailed technical support.
